Granville Millinery

Finding inspiration in: Hats!

Imagine the grand stands at the Kentucky Derby… can you see the coifs of color, the floppy brims, the textural feathers poking out among beautiful dresses and mint julep cups? It’s a gorgeous scene! Despite the big name designer dresses, the hats are most certainly the conversation pieces, and the likely reason for this is because we only see them on Derby Day or anywhere the Royal Family shows up… but a movement has begun, and these amazing noggin covers are again being ador(ed)-ned!

Designing some of these amazing cranial creations is Amy Hamilton, [another of] Central Ohio’s very own!

Amy owns and runs Granville Millinery from her farm (imagine again: cedar shake farm house, big white barn, perfect little carriage house studio filled with amazing textiles…) which she owns with her husband, Paul, who also happens to be a renown landscape painter. Amy sells her hats from her website, but recently from her pop-up shop, Skipping Rock Farms, in Bexley (OH). Aside from being a creative genius, she is sweet-natured and witty and far too bashful of the attention she receives: Amy’s hats have been featured in Italian Vogue, Country Living, “O” the Oprah Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, Victoria Magazine, Capital Style… and more!
