Finding Inspiration in: Shower Gifts!
It hit 102 degrees in Central Ohio today… it’s hot outside! After running errands in the heat, I felt as withered as my tomato plants. What do you do to stay cool? Pool days? Movie theaters? Gazpacho?
The coolest place in our house is the basement, which also happens to be where my sewing area is. The cool basement inspired me to work on some baby gifts, for upcoming showers. I like to use vintage and retired Lilly Pulitzer fabric (lined with a baby flannel) for beautiful and custom baby blankets, I sell some at a local children’s boutique! I haven’t gotten around to selling them myself, but have considered Etsy. How about you? Do you have an online shop? Do you have any recommendations for someone considering this route? I’d love to hear about them! And I’d love to see your creations, too!

Glad you found a way to keep cool. Central Ohio is part-time home; I’m returning shortly to our blackberry farm and I certainly hope the weather cools down !!
I hope so too – and definitely for your blackberries! Stay cool and thanks for visiting!
I love your blog and reading about all your creations!
I’m starting an online shop myself this summer, selling clothing and art work.
Etsy is definitely the way for me at this point. It will allow me to start small and test the field. I’d love to hear more about your creating-an-online-shop experience, maybe we can share tips once we figure out the world of Etsy
Good luck with everything!
Thank you! And your site is brimming with gorgeous inspiration!! I can’t wait to see your clothing and designs on Etsy, please keep me posted! And I will too! Enjoy your summer!
